Got Over It
Well, I got over the fact that either no one is reading or no one is commenting so I decided to keep posting. Must have been an ego thing. So back to the questions, I am perplexed by the state of affairs in some Valley Politics. I can never get a grasp on the lack of cooperation of the cities in the Valley. We jealously guard our civic independence as we continue to grow into intertwined communities. I can understand when it was a 10 minute drive between cities, but Pharr, McAllen, Edinburg and Mission (I am not trying to leave any out, just got tired of listing them) are one continuous community for the most part. Except for the street names (ie McColl and its double North/South and the whole Ferguson Pecan (which is a blvd) East Griffin (which is a parkway)/495 thing. Why do we behave like Greek City-States?
